Senior Salesforce Developer/Administrator
The Senior Salesforce Developer/Administrator (remote) is a highly skilled individual contributor responsible for the advanced configuration, optimization, and maintenance of the Salesforce platform. This role focuses on hands-on execution of complex technical tasks, delivering scalable solutions, and ensuring the system meets evolving business needs. The Senior Developer/Administrator works independently or alongside developers and stakeholders to tackle challenging projects, leveraging deep expertise to drive efficiency and innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advanced System Configuration & Optimization:
- Design and implement sophisticated workflows, validation rules, custom objects, and automation using Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, or Lightning Components.
- Build and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions, such as custom apps, advanced security models, or multi-object architectures.
- Proactively optimize the platform by adopting new features from Salesforce releases (e.g., Einstein AI, Lightning enhancements).
2. Complex Data Management:
- Execute large-scale data migrations, deduplication, and enrichment projects using tools like Data Loader, DemandTools, or ETL platforms.
- Maintain data integrity and security by implementing custom validation rules, triggers (in collaboration with developers), and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Manage sandbox environments for testing, deployment, and production refreshes.
3. Custom Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop intricate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for business teams and leadership.
- Leverage Salesforce Einstein Analytics or integrate with external BI tools (e.g., PowerBI) for advanced data visualization when required.
4. Integration & Technical Expertise:
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems (e.g., ERP, marketing platforms, or custom APIs) using tools like MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, or AppExchange solutions.
- Evaluate, install, and configure third-party applications to extend Salesforce functionality.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot or refine custom Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components, while focusing on configuration over coding.
5. Hands-On Problem Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, serving as the go-to expert for technical challenges.
- Independently handle high-priority escalations related to performance, user access, or data anomalies.
- Perform system audits and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
6. Project Execution:
- Take full ownership of Salesforce projects, such as platform upgrades, new module implementations (e.g., Service Cloud, CPQ), or org consolidations.
- o Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deploy them with minimal oversight.
- o Manage timelines and deliverables for technical initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
7. User Enablement (Non-Managerial):
- Create detailed documentation and training materials to support end-users and reduce dependency on IT.
- Provide advanced support to power users or business units on an as-needed basis, focusing on self-service enablement.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Experience: 4-7+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, with a proven track record of tackling complex, enterprise-level projects.
· Certifications:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) required.
- Advanced certifications strongly preferred, such as Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM 211), Platform App Builder, or Sales/Service Cloud Consultant.
· Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce configuration (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning Experience).
- Strong understanding of integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier, or APIs) and data management platforms.
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, or Lightning Web Components to collaborate with developers (coding not required).
- Experience managing sandbox environments and deployment processes.

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Field Service Lightning, or Marketing Cloud implementations.
· Background in managing large Salesforce instances (500+ users or multiple orgs).
· Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data tasks is a plus.
Working Conditions
